Dear Editor

I just had to respond to the derogatory letter about Minister Brown wearing shorts at an important meeting.  I did get a laugh out of it because Minister Brown is like one of the boys.

From what I know about him he does not seem fussed about his appearance.  He just likes to get the job done.  I like it that he does not conform to your letter writer’s standards of attire.  He is just like one of the normal people – in fact I see him wearing shorts all the time at many places.  Please don’t change into long pants because of some jealous letter writer.  And please write about something that is newsworthy not gossip worthy. Leave his shorts alone e koe!

Piripou japone!
