Dear Editor,

I am writing to CINews to create awareness among those families whose loved ones are buried next to the Catholic Cemetery in Panama.

It is in a dire need of cleaning and I feel for those that are buried under all the grass growing over their graves.

They are calling for someone to come and clean the grass or weeds that are virtually choking them - although of course they are dead already. I have no relatives in this area; however my daughter’s Nanny is buried there and I always make sure that her grave and surrounds are rid of weeds.

It is also annoying that Nanny’s plot is always clean, and in the end she is surrounded by the weeds that are growing around the other graves.

I am reaching out to those whose loved ones are buried in this area to please do have some consideration for the dead and tidy up their resting places.

This little spot is a real eyesore and I am sure that the families of those buried there drive past it every day.
