The service outage, between 9:00pm and 10:45pm, would have affected Bluesky customers using internet services including mobile data, as well as Moana TV and international voice services, a Bluesky spokesman said.
Technicians were alerted by monitoring alarms at around 9pm that the O3b service was offline and attempted to recover the service remotely.
“The backup service using a Geo satellite did not automatically cutover. Technicians followed procedures to reboot all effected systems to recover the O3B Service. They continue to closely monitor the O3b service since the outage and it is stable,” the spokesman said. - Release
