All ministers except deputy prime minister Mark Brown are expected to remain on Rarotonga this week.


Brown is away in Gold Coast, Australia with the Cook Islands oldies rugby league team for a tournament there. He is expected to return this week.

Infrastructure minister Robert Tapaitau and Internal Affairs minister Vaine (Mac) Mokoroa, who are the recent ministers to travel overseas, are back on the island.

Tapaitau was away in Spain to attend a United Nations forum relating to Sustainable Development Goals.

Minister Mokoroa was in Brisbane, Australia to attend a meeting concerning the electoral system.

Meanwhile the ministers are expected to meet for their weekly Cabinet meeting tomorrow to discuss issues relating to national interest.
