The spot is expected to have a footpath to the waterfall, with picnic tables surrounding the natural plants that have been maintained. Due to Covid-19, earlier this year, land manager Tamuera Napa Jr said the toll had been lifted so local people can go and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, have a picnic and relax.
A peaceful place to relax
A team from Landholdings Ltd is working on a recreational picnic area at Papua Vai Marere, previously known as Wigmore’s Waterfall in Vaimaanga.
