The Koteka-Wiki family, Courtney Raita, Maeva Leigh Iro-Herman, Krystina Kauvai Tatuava, Taryn Elia, Ani Talbot, Mata Priest, Terii Pitman, Joan Wong, Mariana Ross Ryan, Sunelia Tom, Metua Okotai, Tabitha Berg, Talissa Koteka, Alanna Smith, Pascal Garnier, Tajiya Sahay and Kimberly Selma Tau put together the four-day sale.
Reihana Koteka-Wiki said all clothing was selected from 16 wardrobes.
Koteka-Wiki said collectively, all donors’ 15 per cent commission from sales raised an incredible $1000 for the Creative Centre.
“We thought it might be a great way to fundraise for the Creative Centre. Their market hut has been shut since March, due to the slowed influx of tourism,” Koteka-Wiki, the former Miss Cook Islands, said.
“I really admire the hard work that they do for our community. Despite the closing of one of their main streams of income, their tireless work to assist our community has not stopped.”
Koteka-Wiki said they never expected to fundraise this amount, and they were overjoyed to see what was raised collectively.
She said the store featured a huge range of fashion items, from designer handbags, shoes, evening wears, fitness attire and gorgeous daytime outfits, “creating an adorable little pop-up thrift boutique”.
“The four-day event was intensely packed with shoppers. We never imagined it to have become so popular over the course of that week but we were overjoyed to see so many happy customers.
“Huge thank you to everyone who came out to shop our Pre-loved fashion pop-up.”
The donation was handed over to the Creative Centre last week.
