The idea was initiated by members of the Vaimaanga Tapere.
“During these challenging times and with so much negativity around the world, we wanted to hold an uplifting event for the community, and at the same time, support local vendors in offering an opportunity to sell their wares,” said one of the organisers Claire McErlane.
There will be a range of stalls, including cooked food, fresh produce, craft, plants, and the ‘pre-loved items’ shop at the premises will also be open.
Tuaine Papatua and his talented young music students, will provide entertainment.
The Vaimaanga Tapere invites everyone to take a night off cooking, and bring your family and friends along and enjoy a night out.
“We hope the markets will become a regular fixture for the community,” said McErlane.
Vendor sites are still available. Please contact the chairperson Volley Tangiataua on 52634 to book your site. The fee is $10 for an unpowered site, or $15 for electricity.
