I'm happy and proud of our Cook Island people for their outstanding achievements, but also sad for those who are deserving but not here to be given the opportunity to be recognised.
My uncle Takau Areora who sadly passed away dedicated his time and energy to our Cook Island people through his love for his people and sports.
Congratulations aunty Vaine and Mr Derek Teariki.
