Founder of the Cook Islands Women and Girls with Disabilities Organisation, Tuki Wright received a substantial cash donation from a Singaporean company with business interests in the Maritime Services Industry who are also avid supporters of community-based groups that promote women’s interests.

On International Women’s Day last week, Tiare Kelleher handed over the contribution to Wright, on behalf of the donors who also offer support and a sense of friendship to an often marginalised faction of our community.

It is fitting the administration received recognition as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations. Wright congratulated and thanked all the wonderful men and women who offer their support and friendship to the Cook Islands Women and Girls with Disabilities Organisation.

If you are able to offer practical care and have time to volunteer, please contact Mama Tuki Wright or visit their Facebook page.  “Disability is just an Ability that is different.”
