ANZ has announced the launch of the first mobile banking app in the Pacific, giving customers using iPhones, iPads and Android phones more flexibility to manage their money on the go.

Key features of the app include the ability to pay bills, check your account balance, view recent transactions, and transfer money between your own accounts or to family and friends with ANZ accounts.

“We are committed to helping educate our customers about the benefits and security of using digital banking and our new ANZ Pacific App,” said Glen Stewart, ANZ Country Head for Cook Islands.

“Cook Islanders are still moving from being high users of cash to high users of digital channels. We are pleased to support our customers on this journey with the first mobile banking app in the Cook Islands,” he added.

The new ANZ Pacific App is available in Cook Islands, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu. Customers can download the ANZ Pacific App from the App Store or Google Play.

“As smartphone usage increases across the region, more of our customers are embracing digital banking,” said ANZ Regional Executive for Pacific, Tessa Price.

“Providing our customers with a secure mobile banking app that gives them access to their money, no matter where they are, is part of our commitment to making banking easier and more convenient.”
