The Ports Authority Aitutaki barge that arrived in Arutunga wharf over two weeks ago is yet to be used for transporting cargo.

Operations manager Andre Tuiravakai says the Ports Authority is still awaiting a couple of minor parts that are on the container ship Liloa II, due into Aitutaki this week.

In the meantime, the older barge pictured on the right is still meeting the demands of loading and unloading arriving and departing cargo for the island.
