In a statement, Cook Islands Police Services said three female officers were awarded the rank of sergeant. They are Sharon Kareroa, Lisa Tatakura, and Tereapii Tapoki.
Officer Epii Poila was awarded the rank of senior sergeant and also received his certified award as a Radar Speed Operator.
And detective inspector Areumu Ingaua was the recipient of a Commissioner’s Gold Merit Award for Exceptional Police Service in his management of the high profile investigation and prosecution case against a Minister of the Crown. Police Commissioner Maara Tetava encouraged all his officers to take pride in the uniform.
And in service, for officers to apply their best efforts to get the work done.
The rewards, he said, would be like cake – a sweet taste of success!
