As part of the unit, Worldwide Travel Destinations, their lecturer Jane Mills invited Ian Griffiths, the Cook Islands Tourism Corporation UK Representative to talk about the Cook Islands. He was so inspiring that the students felt they know all about the Cook Islands and its residents personally.
Jane Mills, the student’s lecturer said, “It is always inspiring when we have a guest speaker from the industry, it really brings the course to life.” However, the presentation that Mr Griffiths gave was like no other. He certainly sold the islands to the students who felt that they knew the islanders personally. “After 28 years in the travel industry, I also renewed my passion for travel after hearing about the Cooks.”
