The quarterly update held at the Edgewater Resort and Spa conference room was attended by members of the local tourism industry.
It included four speakers who put together a very comprehensive presentation aimed at informing and enhancing the members’ business marketing strategies.
Cook Islands Tourism North America general manager John Petersen kicked off the presentation, updating on the market he manages.
Petersen also talked about the air services, campaign summaries, creative samples, market analysis and a revised business plan focus for the North American market.
His presentation was followed by an update from Cook Islands Tourism digital executive Tony Fe’ao, who discussed the tools used by the main office to boost their reach to potential visitors.
Fe’ao’s presentation included ways to drive unique visitors to the website using social media and search engine optimisation (SEO) marketing.
The Global Breakfast Update also included speakers from Cook Islands Tourism partners Spohn Design and Great Matter Website Developer.
Ron Spohn of Spohn Design presented on how to ensure that the design of the website captures audience’s attention and achieves bookings.
Great Matter Website Developer’s Adam Weiss talked about the tricks and traps into choosing or changing over to a new website, and optimising it for the highest return on investment.
