Muri Beach Club Hotel is going greener by introducing a range of new environmentally friendly toiletries for its guests.

The World Resorts of Distinction hotel, which is located adjacent to Muri Lagoon, has released the Pina Colada collection that is made from biodegradable formulations, recycled packaging and a no-animal-testing policy.

Spokeswoman for WRD, Narelle Christoffersen-Langton, said the toiletries were not only green, but had a “delicious scent” too.

Christoffersen-Langton said Muri Beach Club Hotel is conscious of its impact on the stunning local environment and close-knit community, and makes an effort to keep these values at the forefront of all operations.

“Through fundraising initiatives and raising awareness among guests, the hotel supports a range of not-for-profit organisations and local government initiatives dedicated to making a difference to the environment. Some of these groups include the Centre for Cetacean Research and the Cook Islands Marine Park,” she said.

Other recent upgrades to the adults-only resort are upgraded beds and bedding, new in-room Wi-Fi offers, and 24-hour access to the hotel’s gift shop making it more convenient for late-night arrivals and early-morning departures.
