The Ministry of Education has put out tenders for the supply of laptops and iPads.

The ministry is seeking 250 laptops and 70 iPads through these tenders as part of its annual capital procurement.

Education ministry’s information technology and communications director Robert Matheson said the procurement of these devices would replace those which have reached their “end of life”.

This tender is part of a rolling five year forecasted replacement schedule that helps meet the ministry’s aim to maintain a 5:1 student to device ratio and one laptop per teacher.

“Schools are not limited to a 5:1 ratio and can purchase extra devices to meet the needs of their learners,” Matheson said.

The tender closes on Thursday, September 5 at 4pm
