Students from Apii Avarua experienced the Environment Roadshow at Constitution Park on Wednesday.

The event that was held from Tuesday and ended on Thursday was in honour of National Environment Week as well as World Ocean Day that was yesterday.

Students from Year 4 to Year 8 visited the roadshow throughout the day and took part in talks with some of the exhibitors.

Throughout the presentations by organisations such as Infrastructure Cook Islands, the Ministry of Agriculture, CITC and Cook Islands Tourism Corporation, the students learned about how they are trying to protect our environment through a variety of projects.

The students then had to use that information to make their way through a question and answer game in the middle of the park.

Two food stalls were also set up at the site and were selling their products in bio-degradable containers in keeping with the environment theme.
