Cook Islands Tourism New Zealand took a double booth at the event and were joined by representatives from Club Raro Resort, Edgewater Resort and Spa, Manuia Beach Resort, Muri Beach Resort, Nautilus Resort Rarotonga, Palm Grove, Pacific Resort Hotel Group, Crown Beach Resort and Spa and Sunset Resort.
Cook Islands Tourism marketing manager Rachel Mackey said the event brought in great enquiry about the destination.
“The booth was busy both days and the destination continues to be a favourite for Kiwis,” Mackey said in a statement.
New Zealand has been the Cook Islands’ leading tourism markets. About 60 per cent of the total visitors entering the country last year were Kiwis.
Representatives from the Cook Islands Tourism also presented a destination presentation both mornings to an audience of keen holiday makers.
“Cook Islands Tourism New Zealand thanks those who came onboard for the event, and hopes to see more suppliers join the Rarotonga and Aitutaki booth at the next Flight Centre Travel Expo in February,” the statement said.
