New restaurant a dream come true

Being able to exchange their corporate clothing for a pair of island shorts and an apron is part of a new dream come true for young restaurant owners Guillaume and Karine Kapfer and their daughter Gabrielle.

DRIVING down Titikaveka side from Avarua at Paringa Ru, Tikioki you can’t help but notice a small yellow signboard on the right side of the road that reads “Aunty Pat’s Coco Candy.”

When she was told in Australia that she’d won a Cook Islands Tourism Award for Outstanding Contribution to Tourism, Mama Vara Hunter’s typically humble reaction was, “What! Why me?”
