Hollywood stuntman Tanoai Reed could be mistaken for action star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – after all, he stands in for the actor in his most dangerous moves.

Visiting Aitutaki with his family, the Benioni family and the island’s people have enjoyed his warm personality and his willingness to pose for photos. He flew back to Rarotonga yesterday – though because this isn’t the movies, he sat in the passenger cabin rather than walking on the wing.

Reed was born in Honolulu in 1977 and is of Hawaiian, Samoan, Norwegian, Swedish and Irish descent. And, for good measure, he is a cousin of The Rock, and has done his stunts for almost 20 years.
