Women putting aside their political differences to come together was the message at a special lunch held at the Cook Islands National Council of Women (CINCW) headquarters in Takuvaine yesterday.

To complete the first week of this year’s Putahi Ono Kuki Airani artists’ gathering, Nukutere College hosted a group of artists in a discussion about their artistic backgrounds last Thursday.

Senior students at Apii Avarua were treated to a special discussion from visiting Hawaiian artists currently in Rarotonga for the Putahi Ono.

Co-organiser Stormy Kara says the “hard yards” put into this year’s Puahi Ono Kuki Airani art gathering have all been worth it.
