TO TATOU VAI
Rarotonga is getting a new water supply. Construction is well underway and the
first catchment will be online in June 2019. The construction project is referred to as
‘Te Mato Vai’.
A new State Owned Enterprise, ‘To Tatou Vai’ has been established to manage the water supply, a Chief Executive (Brent Manning) and a number of technical and administrative staff have been appointed. We are now advertising the following roles:
WATER NETWORK SUPERVISOR
The Water Network Supervisor will be responsible for supervising up to 8 network staff on Rarotonga. Core tasks are:
• Managing the field network staff and the maintenance activities of TTV - in terms of the water pipe network.
• Providing operations advice to TTV, including asset management.
• Managing customer interface, including customer service.
• Providing project management/liaison when requested.
This role will be particularly challenging in the first year or so as staff are trained in their new roles. We are hoping this person can start immediately and applications should be received by 29 May 2019.
WATER NETWORK TECHNICIANS (x8)
Reporting to the Water Network Supervisor, this role exists to:
• Repair and maintain the water pipe network.
• Respond to urgent reactive maintenance tasks.
